This 'quick turn-around' project included a small marketing site advertising an educational results reporting & trend analysis tool - 'scoris results' - as well as a re-skin of Forvus' customisable online analysis demo site.

HSE Safety-net 2009

Comptetition work for the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) search & reporting facility 'Safety-net'. The project included system analysis, wireframes, visual mockups in line with existing brand, and a prototype build combining fixed and flexible layouts integrated in an existing system.

Families of Schools (FoS) 2009

FoS – part of City Challenge – provides access to Primary and Secondary school reports for London, Greater Manchester and the Black Country.

Following a usability/accessibility review, this site was completely re-structured and re-designed. The main aim was to create an intuitive user journey and comply with accessibility standards and DCSF branding guidelines.

Freelance competition work for a questionnaire tool. My task was to interpret wireframes and create a brand and layout that would result in a clear and user-friendly application for creating and completing surveys.

Tellus4 08/09

The successful Tellus survey is now in its 4th year. To move the brand forward and achieve even better results, a portal site was created giving information about the project and easy access to the survey.

Targeting all primary and secondary school children in the UK, the 2009 questionnaire was developed in 4 versions - a standard version and a symbol, audio and sign language version.

Complete re-design/development of existing application to create a more user-friendly and standards-compliant site that combines separate areas into one point of access.

Amongst the challenges with this extensive and data-heavy project were the design of easy-to-remember icons, layouts that separate various page areas while keeping scrolling to a minimum, and consistent user journeys.

UK Trade Info 2008

UK Trade Info gives access to the most complete, authoritative and up to date information on UK imports and exports.

Following a usability/accessibility review, this previously table-based site was partly re-structured & re-coded, and received a new CSS skin.

Reed Business – job boards 2007

This project included the creation of a universal (X)HTML/CSS template which could easily be re-branded to suit the various Dutch job boards (Elsevier, Elsevier Fiscaal, Controllers Magazine, Zorgvisie, Marqit, P&O actueel, Gemeente, FEM Business & Finance, Nursing and Overheids Management).
